News Profil . Koo Hye Sun adalah seorang aktris, penyanyi, sutradara, penulis, musisi yang lahir di Incheon, 9 November 1984.

Sebenarnya cita cita Koo Hye Sun sejak kecil adalah menjadi seorang penyanyi. Saat dia duduk di bangku SMA dia sempat ingin membuat sebuah band, tapi karena popularitasnya sebagai 'Best Face' di Internet dia menunda keinginannya membuat band dan bergabung dengan YG Entertainment. Ketika dia masuk ke YG Entertainment, dia berharap akan debut menjadi seorang penyanyi. Tapi CEO YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk menyarankan dia untuk debut sebagai aktris dari pada menjadi penyanyi.

Koo Hye Sun mengawali debutnya dengan tampil dalam Iklan Sambo Computer di tahun 2002 dan debut aktingnya di tahun 2004 melalui Serial 'Drama City' yang tanyang di KBS. Namanya mulai di kenal sampai ke seluruh Asia Timur dan Tenggara sejak perannya dalam drama 'Boys Before Flowers' sebagai Geum Jan Di ditahun 2009.

Setelah kesuksesannya di drama 'Boys Before Flowers' , tepatnya pada tanggal 1 April 2009 dia menerbitkan bukunya yang berjudul 'Tango'. Novel ini sangat laku di pasaran, dalam minggu pertama buku ini berhasil terjual lebih dari 30.000 copy. Selain itu, dia juga memulai karirnya sebagai sutradara, penulis cerita, editor, dan penggubah musik melalui sebuah film pendek yang berjudul 'The Cheerful Caretaker'. Film ini juga mencapai kesuksesan yang cukup bagus dan masuk dalam nominasi di Pucheon International Fantastic Film Festifal 2009. Selain itu Film ini juga memenangkan penghargaan Audience Award dalam Pusan Asian Short Film Festival 2009.

Tidak hanya sampai di situ saja kesuksesan yang diraih oleh Koo Hye Sun di tahun 2009. Pada tanggal 1-7 Juli 2009 dia membuka pameran lukisannya di galeri La Mer Insadong, Seoul dan merilis album pertamanya di Oktober 2009.
